Spread the word and spread the link: http://bobbyschillingspending.blogspot.com/
Congressman Bobby Schilling (R – IL 17) has been touting his “defense” of Medicare in campaign literature. The thing that has me pissed off is that Bobby Schilling voted for future Medicare recipients to buy private insurance – ending Medicare as we know its. The Congressional Budget Office estimates that this would cost the elderly more than $6,400 directly, and more indirectly. I’m starting this blog to give people an alternative to Schilling’s hypocrisy.

Will Republicans like Schilling continue to undermine FEMA?
It's a tough question. When Romney said he would get rid of FEMA and leave it up to the states to fund disaster relief (Illinois can't even fund their schools or prisons) he was just reflecting the feelings of other Republican polititions (look at Steve King over in Iowa). There is a good story HERE on the recent attempts of house Republicans like Schilling to nickel and dime disaster relief. The problem is that disaster relief is money well spent - the quicker an area gets back on its feet the quicker they are back to producing goods and services for the economy. The quicker an area gets back on its feet the fewer people that will need things like food stamps or healthcare. Who knows where Schilling stands since he can't seem to give a straight answer to any question.
