Rep Bobby Schilling (R-IL 17) - HAS TO GO!

Congressman Bobby Schilling (R – IL 17) has been touting his “defense” of Medicare in campaign literature. The thing that has me pissed off is that Bobby Schilling voted for future Medicare recipients to buy private insurance – ending Medicare as we know its. The Congressional Budget Office estimates that this would cost the elderly more than $6,400 directly, and more indirectly. I’m starting this blog to give people an alternative to Schilling’s hypocrisy.

True Cost to Consumers of the Schilling-Ryan Medicare Plan

There is a lot smoke being blown at the moment about how the Schilling-Ryan Medicare plan would not hurt current seniors and how it would actually "strengthen" Medicare for the future. The reality, on the other hand, is a bit different. Where people are going to come up with this kind of money I don't know - but take a look at this graphic that lays out the average added cost that Bobby Schilling is working so hard to lay on you - all for a program you have spent your working life paying for. You thought you had "earned" it - Bobby Schilling thinks otherwise.
